If you received your test results via your results portal, there will be additional guidance and detailed next steps.
An "Unconfirmed Reactive" result means that the test reacted to something in your blood sample, so you require further investigation at this time.
Please note: an "Unconfirmed Reactive" result is only preliminary and must be verified with confirmatory tests. It does not necessarily mean you have an infection, but it does mean that you should seek follow-up at an NHS sexual health clinic.

If you receive an "Unconfirmed Reactive" result, we would advise contacting an NHS sexual health clinic right away. Inform them of the result of this at-home test and ask for an appointment as soon as possible—which they should be able to accommodate.
During this visit, the sexual health clinic will perform further tests to verify the result. They may also offer you counselling and support, organise additional investigations (e.g. screening for other STIs) and schedule any follow-up tests.
To prevent the potential spread of infection, you should avoid sexual activity until you know the results of your further tests and have completed any treatment and follow-up.
